Let us simplify your transfer from Kathmandu to Pokhara and back with our all-new transfer package. We will collect you at the airport in Kathmandu on arrival and take care all of your lodging and flight arrangements to get you to and from the trip start/end point in Pokhara.
Getting to Pokhara
All travelers entering Nepal arrive via Tribuhan International airport in the capital city of Kathmandu. While Pokhara is only 120 miles away, the highway between Nepal's two major cities is notoriously slow. A private car with driver is an inexpensive means of getting to Pokhara at just $150 USD one-way, but the trip can take up to 10 hours. Bus service is even cheaper, albeit slower still.
For those reasons, we prefer to hop on a short 30-minute domestic flight. Travelers on an 8am flight will typically arrive at their hotel in Pokhara by late morning barring any weather or air traffic delays. It is by far the best way to maximize your limited time in Nepal.
Transfer Timing & Suggestions
Given there can be delays with flights due to a number of variables, we always recommend our travelers arrive in Pokhara the day before their trip begins. On the other end of the trip, it is necessary to arrive in Kathmandu the day before any international flights home.

Optional pick-up and hotel transfer on arrival in Kathmandu
First night's hotel lodging at the Hotel Nomad in central Kathmandu
Transfer to the domestic airport, and a round trip ticket to/from Pokhara on Buddha Airways
Some travelers hoping to conserve funds or add flexibity can make their own travel arrangements to get to and from Pokhara.
How to Select the Pokhara Transfer Package
At the time of booking, please select the package option. The package fare of $650 will be added to your trip invoice. We will handle everything and email you confirmations of Kathmandu hotels and domestic flight tickets.
Please note, hotel resources are limited, so we suggest selecting this option at the time of booking although it can be added at any time after the trip package is secured with a deposit.
