Be the adventure.

With more than 50 years of combined experience in the adventure industry, our team understands the demands of expedition travel in faraway places.

We’re passionate about creating authentic journeys backed by uncompromising service standards. Everything we do is driven by a commitment to be - the very best. It’s what brings our guests back for a second, even third Far Xplorer expedition.

Why Travel with Far Xplorer?

  • Small groups, never more than 9 travelers to a team

  • All-inclusive pricing with no unexpected expenses

  • Fully guided itineraries from the minute you land to the moment you fly home.

  • Exclusive routes, unique experiences, and a dedication to show our travelers the most authentic version of Nepal.

Don’t vacation. Adventure.

Expeditions - Not Tours

Unlike a tour which is often scripted and confined to areas served by hotels and tourist services, our excursions are true Himalayan expeditions. Our knowledge of Nepal combined, with our experience traveling far afield, allow us to go anywhere with confidence. That in turn allows each adventure to unfold uniquely, organically, and with unmatched authenticity.

Authentic Adventure

We go - where few can. Many of our routes venture far beyond established tourist services. This allows us to explore unspoiled corners of Nepal very few travelers ever get to see. It’s very common for our groups to spend the bulk of their travels never seeing another tourist or foreign traveler.

Exploration and adventure, they’re not just words we use casually. They are the foundations of what we do.

Global Press

Over the years we have been featured in various publications on three continents. We approach every trip as worthy of a magazine cover. Bold and vibrant, every Far Xplorer journey is an epic story waiting to be told.

Because we venture so far afield, we get to dive deep into areas few even know exist.

The most exciting part of any Far Xplorer trip is getting to interact with Nepal’s beautiful cultures. We like to say, you may come to Nepal in search of mountains and adventure, but it’s the people that make the most colorful memories.

The Real Nepal

We’re Expedition Professionals

  • We’re full-time expedition guides with a combined 50+ years of experience in the Himalayas.

  • Our guides are professionally trained and licensed by the Nepal government.

  • We hold advanced certifications for remote medical emergencies.

  • Our full-time base of operations is in Pokhara, Nepal.

Every Far Xplorer trip includes at least one staff member with advanced wilderness medicine certifications from our partners at Survival Med. A Medic on Every Trip

Unmatched Support

The Far Xplorer support team is the most experienced motorcycle expedition crew in Nepal. Professionally trained, certified, and well traveled, our ability to go anywhere in comfort sets us apart. We travel with the industry’s best cooks, most trusted guides, and experienced mechanics. It’s this team of expedition professionals that allow us to go anywhere in the Himalayas.

3,000 and counting…

Over the span of three decades, our core guide team has traveled with more than 3,000 valued guests. In that time we have come to believe in one thing above all - the shared experience. Your adventure is our passion.

Group Trips, For People Who Don’t Do Group Trips.

Keep it fluid, keep it fun. That’s what keeps so many of our travelers coming back for more, even those who thought they would never join a group trip. Within each outing we create opportunities for our guests to enjoy a shared adventure while providing enough space to craft an individual experience. That’s part of the thrill of exploring Nepal with like-minded friends.
