Travel insurance is required by the Nepal government to obtain the permits required to access many remote and restricted areas.

You may purchase this coverage from the provider of your choice. Please note: Most travel insurance providers have a 2-week window from enrollment to purchase insurance, if you want to include coverage for Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) or obtain a waiver of the pre-existing conditions exclusion with your policy. If you do not require those additional layers of protection, and prefer standard travel/cancellation coverage, you may have more time to find something that works for you. Therefore, we suggest researching your insurance purchase options within 2 weeks of enrollment. For your convenience, we offer a Travelex Insurance Services travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. This trip includes optional motor biking. Typically, activities such as motor sports are excluded from coverage on travel insurance plans. The Travelex Travel Select plan has an optional Adventure Sports Coverage upgrade which, if purchased, will waive the motor sports exclusion.*
