Nepal & Remote Rescue Scenarios
As a resource challenged country, Nepal does not have a comprehensive emergency response network. In the event of an emergency, there is no standardized “911” dispatch center. Nor is is there a connected system of ambulances and hospitals. In the event of a major emergency, remote rescue must be coordinated - on sight.
That typically means - self resuce.
As expedition professionals we have our own protocols for self-rescue, medical evacuation, and transport, but it relies on a collective of partners we have assembled over the years. Those resources are the best available, but not without some limitations.
For travelers keen to have the best remote rescue services available, we offer optiona rescue services through our partners at Global Rescue. Their in-country rescue teams are specifically tasked with assisting only - Global Rescue members.
